Let’s get ready to lay a solid foundation for your new online presence!
How Much Does It Cost To Make A Professional Website?
Breaking Down the Cost of Building Your Website with the Easy Website Template™
Let’s take a look at the estimated costs of building a professional website for your small business or brand using the Easy Website Template™. This breakdown reflects the full price of each essential component, without factoring in any sales or discounts. This way, you’ll get a “top-dollar” estimate of what the process may cost.
- Easy Website Template™ ($395 one-time)
- Domain Name (Approx. $30/year)
- Website Hosting (Approx. $10 – $30/month)
- Elementor Pro (Approx. $100/year)
Total Estimated Cost for the First Year: $555
This covers everything you’ll need to launch your website, aside from the monthly hosting expenses. To get started, you’ll need approximately $555 upfront, with the additional cost per month for hosting.
Ongoing Annual Costs: $130
After the first year, the annual renewal of your domain and Elementor Pro license will total around $130. The monthly hosting fee will continue as well.
There are plenty of additional features and functionality you can add to your website using WordPress plugins. Any recommended plugins that aren’t part of the initial setup will be covered in separate blog posts via our main website, BuiltByPro™, where we’ll review each one and include the associated costs.
How Long Does It Take to Make A Professional Website?
Time is a key factor when building a website, and this will give you an idea of how long it typically takes to set up a professional website for your small business or brand using the Easy Website Template™. I’ve added extra time to each step to ensure you have a realistic estimate, so don’t worry about the final number feeling overwhelming!
1. Buying a Domain (30 Minutes)
This step involves purchasing your .com domain. If you already have a business name in mind, it should be a quick process. However, if you’re still deciding on a name, be prepared for it to take a little longer. (See Branded Username for assistance.)
2. Setting Up Hosting and Installing WordPress (45 Minutes)
About 20 minutes of this process involves waiting for the software to configure the server and install WordPress. Use this time to multitask and get other things done while the installation completes.
3. Preparing Your Content and Files (90 Minutes)
Gathering your brand information and resources into one document/folder will speed up the website building process. This step includes filling out a Brand Identity Worksheet and collecting essential files like logos and images.
4. Installing the Easy Website Template™ (30 Minutes)
The installation itself is mostly automated, meaning you can attend to other tasks during the process. The actual time you’ll spend actively working on this step is minimal.
5. Customizing the Template (2-3 Hours)
Basic customization includes adding your logo, business name, contact details, and other essential information across all the pages. The written content for each of the pages is assisted by AI so don’t worry about writing all of that. If you decide to add more custom elements or unique design features, expect this step to take longer.
Estimated Total Time: 4-8 Hours
With these steps, you can have a polished website up and running in an afternoon. I’ve built in extra time for each step to account for any unforeseen issues or additional details you might want to include.
Disclaimer: Results May Vary
As a designer who created this template and is deeply familiar with the process, I can complete a full setup, including domain registration and hosting configuration, in about three to four hours. If you’re tech-savvy, you might be able to achieve similar results, but there are no guarantees.
The Easy Website Template™ is designed to be a starting point, empowering you to make the website truly your own. The more you tailor the site to your unique preferences, the more time it may take—especially when you go beyond the core template features. The time estimates provided throughout this guide are just that—estimates. Your actual time investment will depend on the level of customization you decide to pursue.
You’ll find some examples in the sections below that illustrate how different customizations can impact the timeline. Use these as a reference to plan your design journey effectively and enjoy the creative freedom that comes with making your website truly reflect your brand.

Make sure to collect the following:
- Logo: Your brand’s logo, ideally in PNG format.
- Website Icon (Favicon): A small icon that represents your site, usually displayed in the browser tab. This should be a square image, 512×512 pixels recommended.
- Headshot or Profile Picture: A high-quality image of yourself or a team member for use on the ‘About’ page or contact sections. This should be a square image, 800×800 pixels recommended.
- Additional Images: Any photos or graphics you plan to use throughout the site, such as hero section images, background visuals, or service-related pictures.
Having these files ready ensures you can seamlessly integrate your branding into the website template and maintain consistency across the website. This step is essential for creating a professional look and getting your site one step closer to launch!
Ultimate SEO Crash Course
Before we dive into building your website with the Easy Website Template™, it’s essential to understand the basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). In this training, we’ll cover the core principles of SEO, helping you create a solid foundation for your website. You’ll learn how to make your site more visible to search engines and attract organic traffic, ensuring long-term success.
Customize Core WordPress Settings
In this step, we’ll personalize the core WordPress settings to align with your brand. This is where we’ll upload your logo and website icon, and set your website name and tagline. These foundational customizations are essential for establishing your brand identity across the website template.
Here’s what we’ll be doing:
Upload Your Logo: Navigate to the WordPress dashboard and upload your brand’s logo to make it visible on your website. This will help reinforce your brand identity on every page.
Add a Website Icon (Favicon): The website icon is the small image displayed in the browser tab. Upload a square image (512×512 pixels is ideal) that represents your brand, ensuring your site looks polished and professional.
Set Your Website Name: Update the website name in the settings to reflect your business name or brand. This name will appear in the browser title bar and in search engine results.
Add a Tagline: Craft a short tagline that succinctly describes what your business or website is about. The tagline will often appear next to your site name in various places, such as search engine listings.
Completing these steps will ensure that your website’s core identity is established from the start, providing a strong foundation for the rest of the customization process.
We are also going to be covering the “Coming Soon” page that is automatically in place for your website with the Easy Website Template™.
Website Page Design
As we go through designing our website, be sure to access the ChatGPT prompts in the “Pro Conversion Content Prompt Kit” to take full advantage of the resources at your disposal.
Header/Footer & Home Page Design
We’ll take a systematic approach to customizing the website template, and designing your website, ensuring that each section is thoughtfully crafted for optimal impact.
- Header Design: We’ll begin with your header, the first impression visitors have of your site. This area typically includes your logo, navigation menu, and any important call-to-action buttons. It sets the tone for your entire website, so we’ll ensure it reflects your brand’s identity while providing easy access to key pages.
- Home Page Content: Next, we’ll focus on the heart of your website: the home page. This section is crucial, as it often serves as the primary landing page for your visitors. We’ll work on engaging content that highlights your business’s unique value proposition, showcases your services, and encourages visitors to explore further.
- Footer Design: Finally, we’ll complete the design process by crafting your footer. This often-overlooked section is vital for providing additional navigation options and essential information such as contact details, social media links, and legal disclaimers. A well-designed footer can enhance user experience and keep your visitors informed.
By following this top-to-bottom design process, we’ll create a cohesive and visually appealing website that effectively communicates your brand and engages your audience. This is the first step to a successful build with the website template.
